Dedicated ML Nodes for OCI Search with OpenSearch

OCI Search with OpenSearch now supports dedicated machine learning (ML) nodes, providing a scalable and isolated compute layer for AI and machine learning workloads. Powered by the OpenSearch ML Commons plugin, ML nodes handle compute-intensive operations such as model deployment and inference, text embedding generation, anomaly detection, and AI-driven analytics.

By offloading these workloads from data and cluster-manager nodes, ML nodes help maintain consistent search and indexing performance while improving overall cluster stability. Dedicated ML nodes support flexible horizontal and vertical scaling, cost optimization through OCI FLEX shapes, and seamless integration with vector search, embedding pipelines, and other AI capabilities in OpenSearch.
