Disable Databases for the Service

If you no longer want a database covered by Ops Insights capacity planning and SQL analytics functionality, you need to disable the enabled database for Ops Insights. When you disable a database, billing stops and the resource will not be available for analytics. The operation is not terminal, meaning that the data that was previously collected will not be removed.

To disable a database for Ops Insights, log in to OCI and do the following:

  1. Open the navigation menu, click Observability & Management, and then click Ops Insights.
  2. In the left pane, click Administration, and then click Database fleet.

The Database fleet administration page displays.

  3. Select the Compartment that contains the database that you want to disable for Ops Insights. Optionally, use Search and Filter to filter the returned results, for example, by Ops Insights state.

Ops Insights state indicates whether a database is currently enabled or disabled.

  4. Select one or more databases to disable.
  5. From the Actions menu for the databases, select Disable Ops Insights. Ops Insights asks whether you want to disable the selected database.
  6. Click Disable. The disable request is submitted for processing.
